It is a privilege to listen to stories of pain, loss, recovery, and hope. I have a front row seat to human transformation. I am delighted to know I can play a part in the transformation.
I love my job!
I have been practising family therapy for twenty three years. From 2005 to 2016 I worked for K-W Counselling Services (Kitchener, Ontario, Canada); a large not-for-profit family counselling centre. In 2016 I established my own practice for women and partners following pregnancy loss. I am known for a warm, compassionate, and focused approach.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Marriage and Family Therapist, and Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. I received my B.Sc. (Psychology) from Wilfrid Laurier University and my M.Sc. (Couple and Family Therapy) from the University of Guelph.
On the personal side of things, my husband and I are the parents of three wonderful boys and the survivors of nine miscarriages (gulp, sniff!). Through many years of heartbreak we received incredible support from family, friends, and a small army of health care professionals.
Daily life around our house these days is about Lego, Roblox, and bike rides around the neighbourhood.
Life is good.
